Step 1:
Start by removing the strut bar. You'll need a 13mm socket.
This product may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:
Body Lift or Lowering Kit
Custom Hood
Aftermarket Turbocharger and/or Throttle Body Spacer
-Flat Head Screwdriver
-7mm, 8mm, 10mm, 11mm, 13mm Sockets
-Ratchet with Various Extensions
-Vise Grips
-Torque Wrench (in.lbs.)
-Panel Popper
Start by removing the strut bar. You'll need a 13mm socket.
Remove the air box from the vehicle.
Start by removing the various plugs on the intake tube. Disconnect the green, yellow, and red. Once done, there will be a blue plug that'll need to be removed. Please refer to the next step.
As mentioned in a prior step, please disconnect the blue plug located on the lower side of the intake tube.
Remove the two hose clamps from the intake tubes connected to the air box.
Disconnect the IAT Sensor located on the back of the air box.
Remove the top of the OEM air box by unclipping the 2 clips on the passenger side of the box. Once done, go ahead and lift the top of the box out and remove the IAT Sensor harness from the lid.
Using a 10mm socket, go ahead and remove the bolt holding the air box into place.
Now, on the drivers side duct located within the air box, there will be 2 tabs, go ahead and depress them and then fully remove the air box from the vehicle.
If you are not running an aftermarket Intake Kit (such as an S&B Cold Air Intake Kit), you will not have to do this step.
If you are running an aftermarket Air Intake Kit, you'll need a 7mm socket to remove the hose clamp located on your passenger side intake tube.
Un-clip this wiring harness for the IAT Sensor on the drivers side intake tube. You can use a body panel removal tool for this.
Remove the constant tension clamp located lower on the same intake tube as the previous step. We recommend using pliers of vise-grips to do so.
Next, go to the turbo which is located below the drivers side intake tube and disconnect another constant tension clamp.
Once this step is done, you can now remove the intake tube from the vehicle.
Next, with a 7mm socket, go ahead and uninstall the furthest hose clamp from the tube thats connected to the turbo. *As seen to the right.
Next, go ahead and remove the bolt located on the bracket that is located under where the air box was. You will need a 10mm socket to do this.
Disconnect the electrical connector located on the OEM blow-off valve. We recommend using a flat head screw driver to do this.
Remove the wiring harness Christmas tree clip located on the hot side intercooler pipe.
Remove the hose clamps on this coupler, located on the hot side intercooler pipe. You will need a 7mm socket to do so.
While you're on the Hot Side (passenger side), go ahead and loosen these three hose clamps using a 7mm socket.
Lastly, go ahead and loosen this hose clamp located on the lower coupler on the stock pipe. Once again, you'll need a 7mm socket. Once these hose clamps are loosened, please remove them as they will be replaced by our Stainless Steel T-bolts.
Install the Hot Side S&B Intercooler Pipe.
Now, it's time to install the bracket to the top of the motor. You will need an 8mm socket to do so.
Install the Silicone Elbow to the Hot Side Intercooler Pipe.
Next, install the connecting pipe between the hot and cold side pipes.
Install the Cold Side Pipe (drivers side) onto the turbo and onto the intercooler tube.
Using an 11mm socket, please take the provided nyloc nut and mount the center pipe to that bracket.
Take a T-bolt clamp and mount it to the low side of the Cold Side (Drivers Side) Intercooler Pipe. You will need an 11mm socket to complete this step.
Now do the same thing for the Cold and Hot Side Upper Intercooler Pipes.
Next, please mount the silicone pipe to the Hot Side Intercooler Pipe (located just above the blow off valve) using one of the included T-bolt clamps. You will need an 11mm socket.
Then, take another T-bolt clamp and mount it at the Hot Side Intercooler coupler, just in front of the blowoff valve.
Take another provided T-bolt clamp and mount it to the lower Hot Side Intercooler Pipe flange located right next to the Intake tube.
Next, take a (in. lb.) Torque Wrench and tighten down all the T-bolt clamps.
Transfer the Blowoff Valve from the OEM pipe to the S&B pipe. For this, you will need an 8mm socket.
Remove the Blowoff Valve Hose by using a pipe wrench or vise-grips to remove the constant tension clamp.
Re-install the blowoff valve to the S&B Hot Side Intercooler Pipe.
Reconnect the Blowoff Valve Hose and the IAT Sensor.
Then, go ahead and connect the wire harness to the Hot Side Intercooler Pipe.
The Installation of the Hot Side Intercooler Pipe is now complete. Please ensure that all bolts and clamps are tight and secure.
Make sure to reinstall the OEM air box or if it's an aftermarket ai box, please refer to their instructions to complete this install.
