NEVER LOSE PRIME!
Your aftermarket external lift pump will never starve for fuel. Permanently eliminates all 1/4 tank issues. Aftermarket external lift pumps are one of the most popular upgrades made to diesel pickups. These pumps provide more fuel to your engine, but when the fuel level in your tank becomes low the pump can starve for fuel in certain driving conditions like accelerating or cornering. This causes hesitation, power loss, and your truck can go into limp mode. S&B’s sending unit permanently eliminates all external lift pump issues associated with low fuel levels.
ACTIVE BUCKET FILLING
S&B is the only sending unit for external lift pumps that fills the bucket with fresh fuel from the fuel tank, even when the fuel level is below the top of the bucket. Competitors’ sending units fill the bucket with fuel from the return lines only, which doesn't help you in many low fuel conditions. The S&B sending unit will keep the bucket full of fresh fuel under almost every circumstance.
NO NEED TO MODIFY YOUR STOCK SENDING UNIT AND TANK.
Easily go back to stock if you need to. Lift pump manufacturers offer kits to make their pump draw fuel from the OEM sending unit, but these kits require a permanent modification to the sending unit. Our sending unit works with OEM or S&B tanks and eliminates the need to drill a hole in the tank for a sump.
No, the S&B sending unit does not contain a lift pump, level sensor, or float.
We steal a small fraction of the flow from your external lift pump and use it to create a venturi. The flow created is channeled into the sending unit’s reservoir.
Yes! The S&B sending unit scavenges fuel from your tank and fills it into its reservoir, so your diesel engine will always have fuel available until the tank is nearly empty.
The S&B sending unit is completely plug and play and does not require modifying any factory fuel system components from your truck. All fittings needed are included. Once the tank is dropped the sending unit can be installed and connected in less than 1 hour.
