STEP 1
Loosen clamp at the throttle body, unplug IAT sensor, PCV Solenoid plug and PCV line, PULL UP on airbox and remove from the vehicle.
Please read the entire product guide before proceeding.
Ensure all parts are present.
If you are missing any of the components, call our customer support at (909) 947-0015.
Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park and the Parking Brake is set.
JLT PERFORMANCE recommends that you keep your OE intake system in the event it is required in the future.
In order to maintain your warranty, all connections and components must be checked periodically for alignment and for proper tension on all connections. Failure to do so may void your warranty.
13mm & 10mm Sockets, Ratchet, 11/32 wrench, 5/16 Nut Driver, Flat screwdriver or pry tool,
Phillips screwdriver, utility knife, light oil
Note: Approximate Install Time: 1 Hr
Loosen clamp at the throttle body, unplug IAT sensor, PCV Solenoid plug and PCV line, PULL UP on airbox and remove from the vehicle.
Once everything is disconnected, remove the OEM intake from the vehicle.
Remove the shield under the stock box as shown. There maybe one pin to remove on side.
Remove this bolt from the vehicle.
Remove these tow push pins and the seal trim in order to get to the block off plate.
Remove the plate from the vehicle.
Install the IAT gasket and adapter onto the JLT tube.
Remove the IAT sensor (twist lock) from the stock inlet tube and transfer it to the JLT tube.. Use the JLT supplied gasket, screws and IAT sensor pad to assemble the JLT tube.
Using a utility knife, remove the 3 tips of the plastic welded rivets and remove the PCV solenoid.
Use the supplied hardware and bracket to mount the solenoid to the bracket as shown.
In order to install the bracket, remove this one nut from the strut tower.
Slide the brown O ring up and out of the channel it’s sitting in and use oil for lubricant to install the supplied 3⁄4” PCV hose on to the fitting on the bottom of the solenoid.
Use the front strut towner nut to mount the PCV assembly to the vehicle as shown.
Install the JLT intake box into the vehicle.
Secure down the front using the supplied push pins.
Install the provided bolt.
Place the filter into the airbox, slide the JLT Tube through the opening and attach it to the filter.
Rotate the tube into place and connect it to the throttle body. Then tighten down the hose clamps at the filter and throttle body.
Connect the new PCV line to the intake tube.
Reconnect the fitting to the PCV solenoid. Rotate the piece to make it fit.
Reconnect the harness as well.
Remove both bolts and install supplied rain shield as shown.
Inspect your installation, make sure the kit is properly positioned and all fasteners and hose clamps are secured. Keep all stock parts in case you would ever need to reinstall the stock intake assembly. The Installation is now complete.
