Passenger Side Intake Removal: Step 1
Disconnect the crankcase connector from the tube.
Note: This intake kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:
- Custom Hood
Please read the entire product guide before proceeding.
- Ensure all parts are present.
- If you are missing any of the components, call our customer support at (909) 947-0015.
- Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
- Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park or the Parking Brake is set.
- 5/16 or 8mm socket/nut driver
-10mm socket
- Phillips/flathead head screw driver
-Channel locks
-X-Acto knife
Disconnect the crankcase connector from the tube.
Depress the white button on the MAF sensor connector and pull it off the sensor.
Use a panel popper to remove the Christmas tree pin
Loosen and remove the hose clamp on the throttle body.
Use a 10mm socket to remove the bolt holding down the airbox.
Pull the intake tube off the throttle body and then lift the intake out of the vehicle. If its a tight fit, you can remove the lid off the intake box first.
Disconnect the crankcase connector from the tube. Rotate the blue section to release the connector (index finger is touching the part that gets rotated)
Depress the white button on the MAF sensor connector and pull it off the sensor.
Use a panel popper to remove the Christmas tree pin
Loosen and remove the hose clamp on the throttle body.
Use a 10mm socket to remove the bolt holding down the airbox.
Pull the intake tube off the throttle body and then lift the intake out of the vehicle. If its a tight fit, you can remove the lid off the intake box first.
Install the trimlock along the top of the airbox
Install the air filter into the airbox and pull the flange of the air filter through the opening until seated.
This is what it will look like when the filter is properly installed.
Install silicone fender seal onto the airbox inlet.
Remove the MAF sensor from the passenger side OEM intake tube. Place the included gasket, plastic MAF pad then OEM MAF sensor onto the JLT intake tube. Fasten down with the included Philips head bolts.
Place the JLT airbox into the car and secure down with the OEM bolt.
Install the coupler onto the throttle body first with the hose clamps loosely around the ends.
Place the hose clamp around the filter flange loosely.
Then install the JLT intake tube. Tighten down the hose clamps once the tube in place.
Reinstall the MAF sensor and PCV hose connector.
Install the trimlock along the top of the airbox
Install the air filter into the airbox and pull the flange of the air filter through the opening until seated.
This is what it will look like when the filter is properly installed.
Install silicone fender seal onto the airbox inlet.
Remove the MAF sensor from the passenger side OEM intake tube. Place the included gasket, plastic MAF pad then OEM MAF sensor onto the JLT intake tube. Fasten down with the included Philips head bolts.
Place the JLT airbox into the car and secure down with the OEM bolt.
Install the coupler onto the throttle body first with the hose clamps loosely around the ends.
Place the hose clamp around the filter flange loosely.
Then install the JLT intake tube. Tighten down the hose clamps once the tube in place.
Reinstall the MAF sensor and PCV hose connector.
