  • Flat Head Screwdriver
  • Needle Nose Pliers

Approximate Install Time: 1Hr. - 1.5Hrs.

Step 1

Remove the stock or aftermarket air intake kit from the engine bay.

Step 2

Start on the Hot Side Upper Intercooler Boot by removing the (2) factory clamps using a 11mm deep socket. Once done, go ahead and remove the boot from the intercooler pipe.

Step 3a

Take the small hose with the raised center as this will be the new upper hot side boot.

*One important thing to point out about this line of boots is that they have an internal bead that the pipe they will be mounted on are going to be indexing on. It will feel like it is clipped into place when the bead is fully seated.

Step 3b

Install the S&B hot side upper boot with provided (2) T-bolt clamps into place. Then loosely tighten down the clamps using an 11mm deep socket.

Step 4

Remove the driver side fender liner in order to gain access to the lower hot side intercooler boot. For this, we recommend using a panel popper clip tool.

Step 6

Now, go ahead and loosen the (2) T-bolt clamps on the lower hot side boot. These will also require an 11mm deep socket.

Step 7

Install the S&B lower hot side boot onto the hot side intercooler pipe and intercooler inlet. Then tighten down the (2) T-bolt clamps onto each side of the boot using an 11mm deep socket.

Step 8

Now, go back up the the upper hot side boot and tighten down the (2) T-bolt clamps using an 11mm deep socket.

Step 9

Now, let's move over to the cold side intercooler pipe. Using an 11mm deep socket, go ahead and loosen the (2) T-bolt clamps from the factory boot.

Step 10

To better access the lower portion of the cold side intercooler pipe assembly, we recommend unclipping the front passenger side fender liner.

We recommend using either a flathead screwdriver or panel remover tool.

Step 11a

Using a flathead screwdriver, go ahead and remove the locking clip from the lower section of the cold side intercooler pipe.

*make sure to retain that circular clip as we will use it again in a future step.

Step 11b

Now do the same thing on the upper section of the cold side intercooler pipe.

*make sure to retain that circular clip as we will use it again in a future step.

Step 12

Now it's time to disconnect the entire cold side intercooler pipe assembly. Go ahead and push the upper elbow down and simultaneously remove this elbow from the factory boot.

Once thats done, remove the lower elbow and middle boot from the engine bay.

Step 13

Now it's time to rebuild the Cold Side Intercooler Pipe with the S&B Boot. You'll need an 11mm socket for this as well.

Step 14

At this point, we recommend cleaning the boots mounting surface on the both intercooler elbows to ensure a secure mounting surface.

Step 15

Install the OE circular clips back onto the factory Intercooler Elbows.

Step 16

Now, install the lower intercooler elbow onto the S&B cold side boot. Then assemble the upper clamp but don't fully tighten just yet as we recommend mocking it up in the truck to determine clamp positioning.

Once the mockup is complete and the clamp is positioned where it will still fit, go ahead and torque this clamp down to 75in.lbs..

Step 17

Install the circular clip onto the upper cold side elbow.

Step 18

Once done, go ahead and install the lower portion of the cold side and ensure that the lower elbow clicks into place.

Step 19

Now, install the upper cold side intercooler pipe elbow onto the S&B boot. Ensure that this clips into place as well.

Step 20

Assemble, install, and tighten the other clamp on the S&B Boot. Then torque it down to 75in.lbs..

Step 21

Once done, go ahead and verify that all connections points are tight, secure, and torqued to spec.

Your installation is now complete.
