Step 1
Remove the Upper Radiator Shield. There will be a total of 14 push-pins that'll need to be removed by a body panel removal tool.
Kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:
Body Lift or Lowering Kit
Custom Hood
Aftermarket Turbocharger
Remove the Upper Radiator Shield. There will be a total of 14 push-pins that'll need to be removed by a body panel removal tool.
Remove the factory air box inlet. There will be (2) 10mm bolts, one on either side on the inlet.
Next, go ahead and disconnect the MAF Sensor.
Using a 5/16th nut driver, go ahead and loosen the (2) hose clamps on the factory intake.
The first in at the air box. The second one is down at the turbo inlet.
Lift up and remove the air box from the engine bay.
Disconnect the crank case hose from the lower section of the intake hose. For this you'll need vice-grips or a set of pliers.
Remove the intake tube from the turbo inlet.
Begin loosening all the OEM T-Bolt clamps from the factory Intercooler Pipe. For this you'll need a 7/16th Deep Socket. There is a total of (4) on the Hot Side [Passenger Side].
Now it's time to remove the lower hot side intercooler pipe from the intercooler. For this we recommend fully removing the lower t-bolt clamp from the intercooler/intercooler pipe. Then grab the top of the factory boot and pull down from under the vehicle to help you break the seal.
Now let's move to the Cold Side [Driver's Side].
Start by loosening the (2) upper boots t-bolt clamps using a 7/16th Deep Socket.
Remove the lower T-Bolt clamp from the Cold Side Intercooler outlet by using a 7/16th Deep Socket.
Now go ahead and pull the lower boot up and off the intercooler outlet.
Start by installing the upper S&B boot on the cold side. Once installed, go ahead and tighten the boot using one of the new t-bolt clamps.
Next, go ahead and take the S&B cold side intercooler pipe and snake it into position then mount it into the upper boot.
Next, go ahead and mount the S&B Cold Side lower boot to the intercooler.
*We recommend staging your clamps on the boot before installing it as space will be limited once installed.
Now it's time to tighten down the (2) t-bolt clamps on the upper boot. You'll need a 7/16th deep socket and extension.
*Make sure the intercooler pipe is also lined up to the lower boot before you tighten the upper boots lower t-bolt clamp.
Next, go ahead and tighten down the cold side lower boot upper t-bolt using a 7/16th deep socket.
*You may need a swivel socket and an extended 7/16th socket.
Now, go ahead and tighten the cold side lower boots' lower t-bolt clamp. For this you'll need a 7/16th deep socket and extension.
Now, go ahead and move to the Hot Side.
Start by installing the Upper Boot with 2 provided t-bolts (closest to the turbo).
Install the S&B Hot Side Intercooler Pipe onto the upper hot side boot.
Then tighten the upper boots hose clamp on the turbo.
Install the Lower Hot Side Boot onto the inlet of the Intercooler.
Once the lower side is installed, go ahead and install the S&B Intercooler Pipe onto the lower boot.
Now, go ahead and tighten the (4) t-bolt clamps on the S&B Hot Side Intercooler Pipe using a 7/16th deep socket.
Torque down all t-bolt clamps to 75 in. lbs..
Re-install the intake tube onto the turbo and tighten down the hose clamp using a 5/16th nut driver.
Re-install the air box and connect the intake tube to the air box and tighten down the upper clamp using a 5/16th nut driver.
Reconnect the MAF Sensor and route the harness back to the stock location.
Reconnect the crank case hose back onto the intake hose.
Re-install the air inlet scoop by tightening down the (2) 10mm bolts.
Re-install the Upper Radiator Shield using the factory 14 push pins.
Verify all connection points are tight and secure.
Your installation is now complete.
