Step 1:
Remove the intake (Stock or Aftermarket) from the engine bay. This can be done by using a 13mm socket, ratchet wrench, and flat head screw driver.
Kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:
Body Lift or Lowering Kit
Custom Hood
Aftermarket Turbocharger and/or Throttle Body Spacer
-7/16th Socket & Ratchet
-Socket Extension
-8mm Socket
-Torque Wrench (In. lbs.)
-Flat Head Screwdriver
Remove the intake (Stock or Aftermarket) from the engine bay. This can be done by using a 13mm socket, ratchet wrench, and flat head screw driver.
Loosen all the clamps from their couplers on the passenger side stock pipe. 2 clamps by the turbo and 2 by the intercooler. You will need a 7/16th socket.
Tip: It's easier to loosen these stock clamps from under the front of the vehicle.
Remove the coupler from the turbo.
Remove the lower coupler, then maneuver the pipe out through the bottom of the engine bay.
Next, move on to the drivers side. The first set of clamps are behind the intake elbow. Once again, you'll need a 7/16th socket and there are 2 clamps.
Next, go ahead and loosen the lower clamps located right above the driver side frame.
Tip: If you're unable to loosen it with a ratchet and 7/16th socket, you can use a wrench to loosen it.
Remove the driver side wheel well liner. Use an 8mm and a ratchet.
Once all the bolts are removed, go ahead and remove the liner from the wheel well.
Once all clamps are removed and the wheel well lining is out, go ahead and disconnect the stock pipe and couplers.
First start by disconnecting the coupler at the throttle body. Then disconnect
We recommend matching up the pipe angles to ensure you install the correct pipe on the correct side.
Tip: The pipe shown to the right is for the driver's side.
Tip: This pipe is for the passenger side.
Passenger Side Install:
First, go ahead and install the turbo side coupler to the S&B pipe. When installing, go ahead and push the coupler past the raised ring in order to make the install easier. We recommend not installing the intercooler side coupler on the actual pipe just yet.
Passenger Side Install:
Now, go ahead and install the lower coupler onto the intercooler flange.
Passenger Side Install:
Slide the turbo side coupler w/ S&B pipe onto the turbo.
Passenger Side Install:
Then slide on the intercooler pipe onto the coupler located at the intercooler inlet.
Passenger Side Install:
Install the S&B T-Clamps onto the turbo side coupler. You will need a 7/16th and a ratchet to tighten them down.
Passenger Side Install:
Then do the same thing for the other side of the S&B pipe.
Tip: When it comes time to tighten the T-clamps, we recommend doing that from under the front of the vehicle.
Driver Side Install:
Before installing the S&B pipe, we recommend orienting the S&B pipe & couplers to look similar to that of the stock pipe & couplers. This will make the install easier.
Driver Side Install:
Now go ahead and install the S&B intercooler pipe.
Tip: We recommend installing the intercooler side first, then once thats done, go ahead and install the throttle body side of the pipe. Additionally, we recommend installing without the T-clamps on the boots.
Drivers Side Install:
Now, go ahead and install the new S&B T-clamps (4) onto the new boots. Then tighten all 4 down.
Tip: You may need to use a long extension for the lower T-clamps next to the frame.
Now, you will need to torque down each clamp to 75in. lbs..
Lastly, go ahead and re-install the air intake.
Verify all connection points to ensure everything is tight.
Your installation is now complete.
