Step 1

Start by removing the 5x screws on the passenger rear fender using a 5mm allen key.

Then remove the push pin on the lower end of the fender by using a panel removal tool.

Step 2

Next, remove the 4x screws at the top of the rear fender/quarter panel, just next to the roll bar.

Once the uppermost trim piece is unbolted, this will give you access to the last remaining bolt which will need to be removed.

Step 3a

Now, let's move into the fender well at the top of the intake tube.

You'll need to remove the 3x push pins using a panel removal tool.

Step 3b

Then remove the 1x push pin located behind the vent using a long flathead screwdriver.

Step 4

Now, loosen the hose clamp on the flange of the intake tube to the air box.

Then pull the intake tube down and off of the air box inlet.

Step 5

Go ahead and remove the factory air box from the vehicle.

Step 6

Take the provided S&B intake tube coupler and go ahead and mount it on the tube in preparation for next step.

Step 7

Install the S&B Air Box into the factory position.

Step 8

Now, orientate the coupler onto the air box flange and then tighten down the 2x hose clamps into position using a 5/16th nut driver.

Step 9

Then re-install the 5x screws from (Step 2).

Step 10 (Optional: Roof Install)

Remove the 4x 10mm bolts holding the roof to the rear roll bar.

Step 11

Now it's time to assemble the 2x Clamp Adapters (20) on the side of the Separator.

If you plan on mounting this below the roof line, you may need to mount the provided 2x Clamp Adapter Spacers (33) to the side of the Separator.

Step 12a (Roof Mount)

Now, it's time to mount the provided clamps onto the roll-cage. Then install the Pivot Body (7) and loosely tighten it down.

*The clamps you use will be dependent of the tube diameter of your specific roll cage.

Step 12b (Traditional Mount)

Now, if you dont choose to mount it above the roof, we also provide clamps and spacers to mount to the angle roll bars.

Then install the Pivot Body (7) and loosely tighten it down.

*The clamps you use will be dependent of the tube diameter of your specific roll cage.

Step 13 (Roof Mount)

Next, take the Roof Brackets (1011) and install them onto the pivot bodies using the provided hardware.

Step 14

Assemble and mount the L-Brackets (18) onto the Particle Separator. Ensure that the mounting height location is the same on both L-Brackets.

Step 15

Now, mount the Particle Separator assembly onto the Roof Brackets and tighten it down using 1/2" wrenches.

*It helps to have someone help you hold the other side.

Step 16a

Now it's time to run the wiring harness.

First, start by removing the trim piece above the Garmin screen by opening the top accessory storage and pulling the molding towards you.

Step 16b

If you have the garmin display, there is a locking mechanism behind the device. Simply pull up on the locking tab while holding the front of the garmin device as it may eject forward.

Step 17a

Undo the 2x phillips screws and 2x 10mm bolts holding the tablet bracket.

Step 17b

Then you'll need to remove the 2x push pins in the cubby behind the garmin bracket.

Step 17c

Once done, go ahead and pull the entire center section of the dash away but be careful to not overstretch the wiring behind.

Step 17d

Remove the 2x small push pins on the green molding.

Step 18a

Now, look for the vehicles bus bar. It is located on a cross bar and you'll see two red connectors and one black connector.

Left = Accessory

Middle = Positive (Battery)

Right = Negative (Battery)

Sep 18b

Now, it's time to unbolt the nuts and run the S&B harness leads to their respective contact points.

*The three S&B harness leads are labeled for easy installation.

Step 19

Once all the leads are installed/secured, go ahead and bundle the excess wiring harness and fuse block under the dash using zip-ties.

*Ensure that you're not mounting this close to the steering column in order to prevent the wiring from getting caught in the steering.

Step 20a

Next, remove the 4x push pins under the E-Brake.

Step 20b

Then remove the 3x push pins on the driver side center console wall and floorboard, on the left side of the shifter.

Step 20c

Then remove the 1x push pin on the center console wall, just left of the E-Brake housing.

Step 20d

Then remove the 1x push pin on the center console wall, just left of the rear cup holder.

Step 20e

Lastly, remove the 4x push pins holding the rear cup holder in place.

Step 21

Once all the pins are removed, please run the wire along the inside of the center console wall.

Step 22

Once you get the wire to the E-Brake hosing, you'll need to push it through the gap at the top of the housing and run it down to the cup holder in the back seat floorboard.

Step 23

Lift up and remove the backseat and then remove the 4x push pins in the middle. Then lift up the middle portion of the floor board and run the wire to the back and to the passenger side.

*We do recommend removing the backseat in order to make running the wiring harness easier.

Step 24

Connect the Main Wire Harness (28) to the Control Board harness (29) female connector.

Step 25

Now, connect the Ignition Sensor (30) to the male connector on the Control Board Harness (29).

Step 26

Run the Ignition Sensor down the center floor board under the backseat.

Then zip-tie the wire up and out of the way of the driveline.

Step 27

Then mount the Ignition Sensor to the top of the motor on the passenger side, next to the coil over.

You'll be looking for a brown wire connected to one of the Ignition Coil Packs.

Once done, go ahead and zip-tie the ignition sensor harness up and out of the way.

Step 28

Run the long end of the Control Board Harness to the Particle Separator.

Step 29

Now, please turn on the vehicle and test the Particle Separator.

It should turn on the second your UTV starts up and you should hear the Scavenge Fan remain at a low speed when your UTV is idling and once you hit the accelerator it should increase the Separators scavenge fan speed/rpm.

Step 30

Once the Particle Separator testing is done, go ahead and measure your hose from the Air Box inlet to the Separator outlet.

Then cut the hose and clip the wire structure using a wire cutter.

Step 31

Install the 2x black Silicone Adapters (2) with the provided Hose Clamps (6) onto the inlet and outlet. Then tighten down the hose clamps.

*Important: When installing the silicone adapters, please ensure that the hose clamp indents on the couplers are facing the inside on both sides of the hose.

Step 32

Using the factory 4x 10mm bolts, re-attach the roof to the roll-cage.

Step 33

Re-attach the fender trim piece with the factory screws using a 5mm allen key.

Step 34

Re-install all internal push-pins as well as the backseat.

Don't forget to re-install the Garmin tablet as well.

Step 35

Verify all connection points are tight and secure.

Your installation is now complete.
