Step 1
Start by mounting the provided brackets using the provided hardware to the upper bar of the cage.
Make sure that both brackets have the upper bolt in prior to the next step.
*Important: Do not install all bolts at this time.
Kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:
Body Lift or Lowering Kit
Aftermarket Bed
Start by mounting the provided brackets using the provided hardware to the upper bar of the cage.
Make sure that both brackets have the upper bolt in prior to the next step.
*Important: Do not install all bolts at this time.
Using a 1/4" drill bit, go ahead and drill out the lower inner hole on the cage.
Then tighten down all the hardware on both brackets.
Next, go ahead and mount the L-Bracket adapter onto the Separator.
Then attach the (2) L-Brackets to the side of the Particle Separator using the provided hardware.
*Important: We recommend mounting the bracket through the middle location to make it as flush as possible.
Next, go ahead and mount the particle separator to the brackets.
Unlock and tilt the bed upright to gain access to the rear of the cab.
Then lift up the rear driver side seat to gain access and remove the storage container.
Using a flathead screwdriver, go ahead and pry off the push pin holding the factory intake tube.
Using a 5/16th nut driver, remove the factory coupler located prior to the air box.
Then install the S&B coupler and Hose Clamps using a 5/16th nut driver.
Next, install the provided S&B Intake Tube onto the air box.
*Important: You can either leave the factory intake tube installed or you can remove it. Either way it will be fine.
Install the provided bracket onto the S&B Vertical Intake Tube using the provided hardware. Then tighten the two bolts and washers down.
Now, go ahead and loosely connect the S&B Vertical Intake tube to the other S&B Intake Tube connected to the air box.
*Important: Make sure that you line up the two indicators on the tube.
Next, drill a hole on the back on the cab wall in order to bolt on the bracket located on the S&B Vertical Intake Tube.
Now, tighten both hose clamps using a 5/16th nut driver.
Now its time to wire your Particle Separator.
First start by opening the front hood access panel to gain access to the Pulse Bar.
Unclip one of the unused Pulse Bar covers. Then plug in the S&B Pulse Bar Connector to that empty spot.
Now start by running the wiring harness through the firewall.
Remove the upper cup holder by undoing the (2) Push Clips.
Then pull the rest of the wiring harness through.
Then run the wiring harness down and under the center shield and inside the center console. Here you can run the wire through the channel all the way behind the rear cup holder (in the under seat compartment), next to the battery.
For this, you're going to have to remove the driver side push pins using either a Flathead Screwdriver or Panel Popper tool.
Then pull the entire wiring harness through.
Mount the provided ducting onto the outlet of the Particle Separator.
Then determine the length of the ducting by placing it next to the vertical Intake Tube.
Cut the ducting to size, allowing for a proper bend in the tube with no pinch in the tube.
Install the S&B Cuff and Hose Clamp onto one end of the Duct.
Then secure it to the Particle Separator outlet.
Install the other end of the ducting to the S&B Vertical Intake Tube.
Install the Ignition Sensor on the white wire connected to the Coil Pack.
Then install a zip-tie on either side of the clamp to keep the sensor in a static position.
*Important: Ensure that you dont lose the small screw and washer.
Connect the Y-Harness to the Ignition Sensor and wire coming from the Pulse Bar.
*The long end of the Y-Harness will run to the Particle Separator.
*We highly recommend that you zip-tie the wiring harness to the cage to keep everything high and tight.
Take the provided template to cut out a notch on the back of the bed.
Then once that piece is cut out, go ahead and close the bed and install the template/bracket using the provided self-taping screws.
Turn on the vehicle and test that everything is working properly, including the variable RPM feature.
Verify that all connection points are tight and secure.
Your install is now complete.
