Step 1:

Remove the vent cover behind the passenger seat by popping out the (5) push pins using a flat head screw driver.

Step 2:

Remove the (8) push pins from the snorkel cover and save them for later. The first 3 push pins are located on the passenger side rear fender.

Step 3:

There will be (5) push pins under the passenger side rear fender that will need to be removed as well.

Step 4:

Now that all (8) push pins have been removed, go ahead and remove the plastic wheel liner from the vehicle.

Step 5:

Using a 6mm socket, go ahead and loosen the hose clamp on the snorkel tube.

Step 6:

Remove this push clip, located on the snorkel tube along the fender.

Step 6: Cont.

The other (2) clips are just above the hose clamp you loosened in Step 5.

Step 7:

Before removing the snorkel tube, there is one more push clip near the soft shroud.

Step 8:

Remove the snorkel tube from the vehicle.

Step 9:

Remove the air box cover.

Step 10:

Install the provided vent hole cover in the place of where the stock version was. Make sure to install the molding onto the cover as well, as seen to the right.

Step 11:

Take (4) push pins from earlier and use them to fasten the S&B vent cover to the vehicle.

Step 12:

Assemble the lower tube with a coupler and (2) hose clamps.

Step 14:

Now, mount the lower tube to the air box and to the upper pipe. You will need a 6mm socket to tighten the hose clamp at the air box end. Then you'll need an 8mm socket for the (2) hose clamps at the coupler.

Step 15:

Re-install the wheel well liner and secure it with the (8) push pins from earlier.

Step 16:

Install the provided 2" c-clamps on the upper roll bar.

Step 17:

Install (1) Pivot Body on each side of the Particle Separator. Make sure to put blue loctite on the allen bolts. Then, using a 4mm allen wrench, go ahead and fully install the (2) pivot body's onto the Particle Separator.

Step 18:

Now, go ahead and mount the (2) L-brackets to the Particle Separator. Make sure to do a test fit first in order to find the position that will work for you, especially as it comes to making sure it doesn't make contact with your helmet.

Once you find the exact location, go ahead and add Blue Loctite onto the (2) Allen bolts. Then using a 4mm allen wrench, tighten down both brackets.

Step 19:

Place the (2) included blocks on the c-clamp, thread the included long allen bolt through with washers on both sides into a nylon lock nut, then tighten it down using a 12mm socket and 5mm allen wrench.

Tip: Make sure that the curved side of the block is mounted toward the roll-bar.

Step 20:

Using the last (2) bolts remaining in the hardware pack, add blue loctite to the (2) bolts, then mount the Particle Separator to the c-clamps on the roll-bar. Once thats done, go ahead and tighten down the c-clamps.

Step 21:

Next, take your flex-duct and mount the rubber sleeve onto one end of the ducting. Then take the provided hose clamp and mount it to the upper tube. Once done, go ahead and tighten the hose clamp down.

Step 22:

Now, go ahead and size up the flex duct to your Particle Separator. Once done, go ahead and cut the ducting.

Step 23:

Once cut, go ahead and slide on the other cuff and then mount it to your Particle Separator. Then tighten down the hose clamp.

Step 24:

Remove all (12) push pins from the center console. Once done, remove the trim piece.

Step 25:

Next, remove the back panel located between the seats by lifting up and out.

Step 26:

Next, remove the front hood top trim piece using a 5mm allen wrench, 10mm socket, and panel popper. Once all the bolts and pins have been removed, go ahead and remove the panel.

Step 27:

Using the included posi-tap, please find the white wire with black stripe located on the drivers side by the steering column and support bar. Once found, thread on the posi-tap onto the wire.

Step 30:

Take off the battery cover, located on the rear drivers side fender. Undo the (3) clips holding the cover on.

Step 31:

Zip-tie your main harness relay block up and out of the way in the top left hand side of the air box. This will put it directly behind the battery box, allowing you to run your wires to the battery with no issues.

Step 30:

Run your accessory wire from the main wire harness to the posi-tap mentioned in Step 27. This is located at the front right of the Talon, right next to the steering column and a front support bar. To get there, go ahead and run it through the center console and through the front dash.

Tip: To keep everything up and out of the way, please zip tie the accessory wire to the main harness running through the center console.

Step 31:

Connect the terminals of the Particle Separators wire harness to the battery. Now, put the cover back onto the battery box.

Step 32:

Now, run you Particle Separator main power cable from the harness in the air box, along the lower roll bar (if your Particle Separator is mounted to the top bar) and up the pillar. Then plug in the 2 connectors.

Step 33:

Now it's time to run the harness to your ignition sensor. Run it through the passenger side of the air box and back to the forward most spark plug wire. Then zip tie the sensor to the spark plug, making sure the sensor faces the coil pack. Then zip tie any hanging part of the harness up and out of the way of anything hot.

Step 34:

Then connect the ignition sensor connector to the main control board, which we recommend mounting on the same bar as the particle separator.

Step 35:

Lastly, make sure your Particle Separator is connected to the main control board. This can be mounted on the upper roll bar, relatively in-line with the Particle Separator.

Step 36:

Before we move forward, lets turn on the vehicle and feel/hear for the sound of the Particle Separator scavenge fans turning on. Once verified that thats working, go ahead and start the vehicle, validate that the fans are on, then rev the vehicle up to determine if the variable speed control is working properly.

Step 37:

Re-install the front trim panel and use the bolts and pins from earlier to fasten it to the vehicle.

Step 38:

Install the front hood back into place. Then push the top left and right corners down into place, then turn and lock the two back hood clamps.

Step 39:

Re-install the center console and push in the (12) push pins back into position.

Step 40:

Re-install the back panel.

Step 41:

Re-install the air box cover.

Step 42:

Make sure everything is tight and secure. Your installation is now complete.
