Step 1

Using a T27 Torx, please remove the OEM intake shield on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Step 2

Next, please install the provided bolt on adapters (14) to accept the provided screws for the S&B intake cover (18).

Step 3

Apply the foam strip (15) around the outer edge of the factory air box.

Then cut off any excess foam you may have.

Step 4

Mount the Air Inlet cover (18). Then, using an M4 allen, go ahead and tighten down the five bolts on the S&B air box inlet cover.

Step 5

Now, go ahead and prep the separator for mounting by assembling the provided brackets (7) onto the separator.

Start by adding drops of provided blue loctite to the four small bolts (8) provided. Then install the washers (2).

Step 6

Now, we recommend mocking up the mounting location of the Particle Separator prior to installation.

Step 7

Once you have a spot picked out, go ahead and install the roll bar clamps (6, 20, or 21) with Silicone Extrusion (16) onto the roll-cage crossbar.

*Install tip: If you don't want to scratch your roll-bars, you can place a piece of the plastic bag the bolts came in under the clamp while installing it onto the bar. Then you can remove it once in place.

Install the Pivot Body (5) on the clamps (either 6, 20, 21) and thread the bolt/washer (10, 3) through to the washer (3) and nut (12) on the other side.

Step 8

Go ahead and mount the two L-Brackets (4) to the clamp on the roll-bar.

Then take the provided bolts/washers (11, 3) and tighten down the bracket to the top of the pivot body (5).

Step 9

Now it's time to raise the Particle Separator to the level on the brackets that works best for your specific application.

Once done, go ahead and bolt in the two provided bolts and washers (11, 3).

*Ensure that the Separator is level and that the same mounting locations on the brackets are being used.

Step 10

Once you've angled the Separator and L-Brackets to its most ideal position, go ahead and tighten down the clamps around the roll-bar.

Step 11

Now it's time to measure the distance between the Particle Separator outlet and S&B Air Intake inlet.

For this, go ahead and mount one end of the hose (9) to the Separator (19) outlet, then run it to the air inlet and mark the hose once it reaches the raised edge.

Step 12

Now, go ahead and cut the hose straight at the mark you made. Then cut the wire strand on the hose.

Step 13

Install the tube with the couplers (13) and hose clamps (1) to the Particle Separator and Air Inlet.

*Important: the hose clamp indent of the coupler needs to be on the inside on both ends.

Step 14

Now it's time to install the provided wiring harness (22).

Install the Accessory, Ground, & Positive ring terminals to the Pulse Bus Bar power hub under the dash, just to the right of the steering column.

The terminals are the following (left to right):

Accessory | Positive/Battery | Ground

Step 15

Now, go ahead and remove the passenger side center console panel. Start by removing the two push pins (1 on either side, yellow arrows) and the two screws toward the middle of the panel (red arrows).

Once done, please remove the panel in order to run the wiring harness.

Step 16

With the panel removed, go ahead and run the wiring harness down the channel.

Step 17

Next, go ahead and remove the cup holder center console in the back seat.

For this, you'll need a T27 Torx bit and their will be one bolt in the forward cup holder.

Then their will be two push pins on the rear (one on either side).

Step 17: Image 2

Step 18

Once done, go ahead and remove the console from the vehicle in order to run the wiring harness to the rear of the vehicle.

Step 19

Once the remaining portion of the harness is under the rear drivers seat, go ahead and run it under the rubber molding next to the driver's side  door jam and have it run up and through the rear firewall.

Step 20

Next, take the provided Control Board Harness (24) and run it up and over the coolant reservoir.

Step 21

Then clip the connector from the main harness (22) (the one from the inside of the vehicle) into the short end of the Y-Connector (24).

Step 22

Now, take the Ignition Sensor harness (23) and plug it into other connector of the Control Board Harness (Y-Harness).

Step 23

Mount the Ignition Sensor (23) to the side of the ignition coil using 2-3 zip-ties.

Step 24

Now, take the long end of the Control Board Harness and plug it into the Particle Separator (19).

Step 25

Now, turn on the vehicle to verify that the Ignition Sensor turned on the Particle separator.

Additionally, go ahead and gradually rev your vehicle to verify that the Separator's automatic variable speed is activating.

Step 26

Now, it's time to re-mount the back seat floor board center console.

For this you'll need the T27 Torx Bit/Screw Driver and the two push pins for the rear.

Step 27

Next, go ahead and re-install the passenger side of the front center console. Then install the two push pins (1 on either side) and the two screws toward the middle of the panel.
