Before You Start

Kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:

Body Lift or Lowering Kit

Custom Hood

Aftermarket Turbocharger and/or Throttle Body Spacer

  • Please read the entire product guide before proceeding.
  • Ensure all parts are present.
  • If you are missing any of the components, call our customer support at (909) 947-0015.
  • Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
  • Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park or the Parking Brake is set.

Required Tools

Step 1

Using a flathead screwdriver, go ahead and remove the rivet on the intake inlet.

Step 2

Using an 8mm socket, go ahead and remove the bolt holding the stock air box to the passenger side fender.

Step 3

Next, using a body panel tool go ahead and remove the christmas tree plastic pin located on the engine side of the air box.

Step 4

Disconnect the MAF Sensor by pulling back on the white tab then removing the connector from the actual MAF Sensor.

Step 5

Squeeze the constant tension clamp, then remove the hose from the port on the intake tube.

Step 6

Remove the christmas tree push pin holding in the MAF Harness.

Then the Intake Tube & Air Box can be removed from the vehicle.

Step 7

Using a T15 Torx bit, go ahead and uninstall the MAF Sensor from the factory intake tube. 

Step 8

Take the S&B Intake Tube, and assemble the MAF Sensor using the provided spacer and gasket.

Step 9

Using a Phillips Screwdriver, go ahead and install the MAF Sensor onto the S&B Intake Tube.

Step 10

Install the scoop onto the Air Box using the provided (8) push rivets.

Step 11

Remove the Shoulder Washer and Grommet from the factory air box.

Step 12

Install the Grommet that you just removed onto the provided  L-Bracket, with the curved side of the grommet facing towards the long side of the bracket.

Then you'll install the shoulder washer on the curved side of the grommet.

Step 13

Bolt up the L-Bracket to the S&B Air Box using the (2x) provided bolts.

(Optional)

Install the provided S&B Box Plug. 

*We recommend doing this if you live in a dusty environment.

Step 14

Install the S&B Air Box into the factory location. Then tighten down the 8mm bolt holding the L-Bracket to the passenger side fender.

Step 15

Install the S&B Air Filter into the Air Box, ensuring that the flange of the filter fully seats on the outer edge of the air box. 

Then install the hose clamp around the filter flange to prepare for a future step.

Step 16

Install the coupler with both hose clamps onto the S&B Intake Tube.

Step 17

Install the Intake Tube. 

Rotate the tube until the MAF and Port match up with their respective connections.

Then using a 5/16th nut driver, go ahead and tighten down all (3) hose clamps.

Step 18

Open up the constant tension clamp and re-install the hose onto the port on the Intake Tube.

Step 19

Reconnect the MAF Sensor.

Step 20

Remove the protective film from the Clear Lid. Then install the Clear Lid onto the Lid Seal.

Once done, install the Clear Lid assembly onto the air box.

Step 21

Re-install the front inlet scoop rivet back into place.

Step 22

Verify all connections are tight and secure. Your install is now complete.
