Install Instructions for 75-5224

Before You Start

Kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:

Body Lift or Lowering Kit

Custom Hood

Aftermarket Turbocharger and/or Throttle Body Spacer

  • Please read the entire product guide before proceeding.
  • Ensure all parts are present.
  • If you are missing any of the components, call our customer support at (909) 947-0015.
  • Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
  • Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park or the Parking Brake is set.

Required Tools

Step 1

Using a Body Panel Removal Tool, go ahead and remove the (14) push pins holding the front shroud in the engine bay.

Step 2

Using a 10mm socket, go ahead and remove the (2) bolts holding in the front scoop. 

*There will be one on either side of the shroud.

Step 3

Pop off the intake tube shroud from the air box using a flat head screwdriver.

Step 4

Disconnect the air temp sensor located on the air box by pressing down on the tab and removing the connector from the plug.

Step 5

Unclip the air temp harness from the air box and the intake scoop using a body panel pin removal tool.

Step 6

Using a 5/16th nut driver, go ahead and loosen the hose clamp connecting the intake tube to the air box.

Step 7

Next, go ahead and lift out the factory air box from the OEM grommets.

Step 8

Using a long flat head screwdriver or an 8mm deep socket with a long extension., go ahead and loosen the hose clamp holding the intake tube down at the turbo.

Step 9

Using a Body Panel Removal Tool, go ahead and remove the wiring harness connected to the intake tube near the turbo inlet.

Step 10

Then remove the crank-case hose attached to the back side of the intake tube near the turbo inlet. Once removed, go ahead and remove the intake tube.

Step 11

We're going to repurpose the OEM Intake Tube Elbow. To do this, you'll need to cut off the metal band in the middle.

Step 12

Now, install the OEM Intake tube Elbow onto the S&B Intake Tube, then tighten down the hose clamp using a 5/16th nut driver.

Step 13

Using a T15 Torx, remove the IAT Sensor from the air box.

Step 14

Install the Scoop Seal onto the S&B Air Box.

Step 15

Next, install the Tube Seal. Ensure that the S&B Logo is facing outwards.

Step 16

Using the provided hardware, go ahead and install the air box mounting bracket to the side of the air box.

Step 17

Install the (2) grommets onto the air box and (1) on the air box bracket.

Step 18

Install the IAT Sensor using a phillips screwdriver. First start by mounting the gasket and spacer onto the S&B intake tube. Ensure that the smaller screw is at the bottom. Then using the longer screw, go ahead and mount and tighten down the IAT Sensor as well as the bracket.

Step 19 (Optional)

Install the optional S&B Box Plug.

Step 20

Re-install the crank case hose onto the fitting located on the elbow.

Step 21

install the S&B Intake Tube assembly back into the engine bay, with the OEM Intake Tube Elbow mounting up the the turbo inlet.

Step 22

Install the S&B Air Box into the engine bay. Ensure that all (3) grommets line up and mount properly.

Step 23

Next, install the intake tube into the S&B air box.

Step 24

Install the S&B Air Filter into the air box, then tighten it don around the intake tube using a 5/16th nut driver.

Step 25

Reconnect the IAT Sensor then re-mount the wiring harness onto the air box.

Step 26

Clip in the CCV line to the crank case hose.

Step 27

Using the press-in zip-tie, go ahead and use this to retain the lines to the intake tube.

Step 28

Remove the protective film from the air box clear lid. Then install into the lid seal.

Step 29

Install the lid assembly onto the air box until its fully sealed.

Step 30

Install the OEM Intake Scoop back onto the intake shroud. Then tighten down the (2) bolts using a 10mm socket.

Step 31

Lastly, go ahead and reinstall the fan shroud using the (14) push pins.

Step 32

Verify all connection points are tight and secure.

Your install is now complete.
