Before You Start

Kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed:

Body Lift or Lowering Kit

Custom Hood

Aftermarket Turbocharger and/or Throttle Body Spacer

  • Please read the entire product guide before proceeding.
  • Ensure all parts are present.
  • If you are missing any of the components, call our customer support at (909) 947-0015.
  • Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
  • Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park or the Parking Brake is set.

Required Tools

  • 3/32nd Allen Wrench
  • 5/32 Allen Wrench
  • 5/16th Nut Driver
  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • T15 Torx Driver
  • 9/32nd Shallow Socket
  • 8mm Shallow Socket
  • 3" & 6" Extension
  • Ratchet Wrench
  • Body Panel Removal Tool

Step 1

Using a 9/32nd socket, loosen the hose clamp on the intake tube at the Throttle Body.

Step 2

Unclip the MAF Sensor by pulling the white safety tab under the physical sensor.

Step 3

Using an 8mm shallow socket, go ahead and remove the (4) bolts holding the air box to the engine.

Step 4

Using a body panel popper, go ahead and remove the (2) push pins located at the intake shroud.

*Please keep these two pins for a later step.

Step 5

Remove the factory intake from the engine bay. 

Step 6

Using a T15 screwdriver, go ahead and unscrew the sensors flange/bracket.

*We supply you with new hardware, so we recommend screwing the factory hardware back onto the stock intake tube.

Step 7

Mount the spacer then gasket onto the MAF Sensor and install it onto the S&B Intake Tube using a phillips screwdriver and the provided hardware.

Step 8

Remove the (4) grommets and (4) shoulder washers from the factory intake. 

Step 9

Then install (2) of the grommets and (2) shoulder washers onto the S&B Intake Box.

Step 10

Next, go ahead and install the Tube Seal onto the S&B Air Box.

Step 11

Go ahead and install the other (2) Grommets and (2) Shoulder Washers onto the provided Air Box Brackets.

Then using a 5/32nd allen wrench, install the brackets onto the air box.

Step 12

Now, go ahead and install the air scoop brackets using a 3/32nd Allen Wrench.

*The longer bracket will go on the Driver Side of the scoop, and the Shorter Bracket will mount onto the Passenger Side.

Step 13

install the S&B Intake Tube into the Air Box.

Step 14

Install the Coupler onto the end of the Intake Tube. Then place the (2) smaller hose clamps onto the notches of the coupler prior to installing it onto the throttle body.

Step 15

Now, go ahead and install the S&B Cold Air Intake assembly into the engine bay and onto the vehicle's throttle body.

Step 16

Now it's time to mount the air box to the engine using the (4) factory bolts from Step 3.

We recommend placing one of the bolts into a shallow 8mm socket, then bolt it into the lower driver side mounting bracket.


Step 17

Next, go ahead and take the (3) remaining bolts and bolt the air box to the engine.

*Two bolts will go on top rear of the air box and the remaining bolt will go on the passenger side lower bracket.

Step 18

Install the (2) factory push pins on the Air Scoop brackets.

Step 19

Using a 5/16th nut driver, tighten up the (2) hose clamps on the coupler holding the intake tube to the throttle body.

Step 20

Install the Air Filter and large diameter Hose Clamp into the air box.

Using a 5/16th nut driver, tighten the hose clamp around the air filter flange.

Step 21

Reconnect the MAF Sensor and then re-engage the locking clip.

Step 22

Assemble the Clear Lid Assembly by removing the protective film and inserting the lid into the Lid Seal.

Step 23

Install the Clear Lid Assembly onto the Air Box.

Install Complete

Verify all connection points are tight and secure. Your install is now complete.
