  • Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
  • Make sure the engine is turned off, negative battery cable is disconnected, and the vehicle is in Park or the Parking Brake is set.

Required Tools

  • 5/16” or 8mm Nut Driver or Socket and Driver
  • 10mm Socket + Socket Wrench, Driver, or Wrench
  • 7/16th or 11mm Socket or Wrench
  • ¼” Nut Driver or Socket and Driver
  • Flat Head Screwdriver
  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Panel Popper
  • Pliers
  • Knife, Cutting Tool

Step 1:

With the ignition switched off and the parking brake set, disconnect the negative battery cable on the battery.

Note: Failure to disconnect the battery may cause the Check Engine Light to be illuminated upon installation and subsequent operation completion. Do not skip this step!

Step 2:

Remove the Engine Cover by removing the bolt located by the oil fill tube. Then pull the cover up and out.

Tip: You will need a 10mm socket.

Step 3:

Remove the bolt holding down the stock intake tube.

Tip: You will need a 10mm socket. This bolt is located just left of the oil fill tube.

Step 4:

Loosen the stock intake tube hose clamp closest to the firewall.

Tip: You will need a 5/16th nut driver or 8mm socket.

Step 5:

Remove the hose clamp on the CCV hose, which is connected to the stock intake tube.

Note: If the clamp is a permanent one, you will need to cut it off with wire cutters. But if your clamp is "reusable", go ahead and loosen it.

Tip: You will need a 7mm socket to do this.

Step 6:

Remove the last clip on the stock intake tube.

Tip: You will need pliers to remove this clip.

Step 7:

Disconnect the MAF Sensor wiring harness. Then lift the entire air intake assembly out of the engine bay.

Tip: You will need pliers or a body panel removal tool.

Step 8:

Install the L-brackets onto the side of the air box. Once installed, go ahead and mount the grommets into the brackets as well as the bottom left mounting hole.

Note: Please leave the lower hole on the right without a grommet as this hole will be for drainage.

Tip: You will need allen keys to install the bracket bolts.

Step 9:

Install the Z-bracket onto the S&B intake tube.

Note: Please orientate the bracket in the opposite direction compared to the CCV port. (As seen in this steps picture)

Step 10:

Install the MAF Sensor with the new S&B spacer and MAF gasket onto the S&B Intake Tube.

Step 11:

Install the S&B Air Filter into the S&B air box. Then pull the silicone flange through until it clips into position.

Additionally, make sure that the flat part of the air filter is on top.

Step 12:

Install the S&B air box back into your vehicles engine bay. Once installed, push down to ensure the box fully seats into position and is secure.

Step 13:

Install the step down coupler onto the turbo inlet and then tighten down the turbo side of that coupler to prepare for the install of the intake tube.

Step 14:

Install the S&B intake tube assembly. On the air box side, ensure the 2 notches are lined up. (1 on air filter flange, 1 on intake tube inlet)

Step 15:

Secure the S&B intake tub assembly by installing the stock bolt onto the z-bracket near the oil fill tube.

Tip: You will need a 10mm socket for this.

Step 16:

Re-install the CCV hose onto the port. Then tighten down the hose clamp.

Note: We supply you with a replacement hose clamp just in case you had to cut off the old one.

Tip: You will need a 7mm socket or a flathead screw driver.

Step 17:

Tighten all hose clamps. There are two at the turbo inlet, two connecting both intake tube sections, and one at the air box. Then double check the one CCV hose clamp to make sure it's secure.

Tip: You will need a 5/16th nut driver or an 8mm socket.

Step 18:

Re-Install the MAF Sensor.

Step 19:

Peel off the protective film from the air box lid. Then install the lid into the air box lid seal. Then install the lid onto the air box.

Step 20:

Re-Install the engine cover by lining up the rear grommet. Once done, line up the engine cover around the oil fill tube. Then take the OEM bolt and bolt it down.

Tip: You'll need a 10mm socket for this.

Step 21:

Your installation is now complete.

Remember to reconnect the negative battery cable onto the negative terminal.

Lastly, please verify all connection points are secure.
