75-5132 2019-2024 Ram 6.7L Intake Test data

Airflow Testing Review Intake 75-5132 · 2019–2024 Ram 2500/3500 6.7L

Banks' own numbers don't match his new video.

His August 2026 video says our intake flows less air than the factory airbox. His own earlier testing said the opposite.

S&B · ISO 5011 40.63%

Less restrictive than stock. Our lab, published in full.

Banks' earlier test 39.8%

Better than stock. That was Banks' own bench test.

Banks · Aug 12, 2026 −6%

Worse than stock. No procedure or curve published.

Same intake, same truck. Two of the three numbers agree. The one that doesn't is the one from the video.
Our numbers

Measured to ISO 5011, from idle to wide open, published in full.

We test our intakes to the ISO 5011 Filtration Test Standard, the protocol most automakers use, from zero airflow up to the maximum CFM the truck pulls at wide open throttle. We publish the full curve, not just one reading.

Reduction in intake restriction versus the factory airbox, at 20% through 100% of the truck's maximum rated airflow. 1069 CFM is wide open throttle.
There is no point on the airflow curve where the S&B intake flows worse than stock.

Airflow is only half of it. Any intake can be made to flow more air by filtering less of what's in it, which is why ISO 5011 also measures efficiency, at the truck's maximum CFM, because stopping dust gets harder the more air you pull.

S&B 75-5132 · Oiled 99.89% ISO 5011 efficiency at max rated airflow.

Banks Ram-Air No data published No efficiency figure for this intake in his published material.

Over 40% more airflow than stock, and slightly better filtration than the factory box. Both figures come from the same test report, and you can read it yourself.

Now the video

Banks tested our intake twice and got opposite answers.

Banks' earlier test S&B +39.8%
S&B 832 CFM / 59.90 lb/min, 39.8% better than stock. Within a point of our own 40.63%.
Banks, August 12, 2026 S&B −6%
The same intake is now 6% worse than stock. His own intake dropped too, from 64.8 to 55.85 lb/min.
Same part number, same truck, same 10 in-H₂O test pressure. Same company running both tests.

A worse number for the market leader gets more views. It doesn't make the number accurate.
Bottom line

Go by the numbers that repeat.

The 75-5132 is less restrictive than the factory airbox at every measured point from 214 to 1069 CFM, up to 40.63%, while filtering at 99.89%. Our ISO 5011 results are published in full, and Banks' own earlier test agrees with them to within a percentage point.

One number out of three doesn't match, and it's the one attached to a sales pitch. The chart carrying his +39.8% result sat on his product page for years and has since been replaced at the same web address with the new figures. No correction, no notice. The Internet Archive kept a copy.

S&B Filters

Charts attributed to Banks are reproduced unaltered from Banks Power's own published material; flow values are lb/min at 10 in-H₂O as Banks reported them. His August S&B figure of −6% computes to −5.88%. S&B figures are from ISO 5011 testing in our own lab, linked above, for the 75-5132 with an oiled filter and the box plug removed; the dry extendable option tests at 41.11% less restrictive and 99.39% efficient.
