Install Instructions for 75-5075-1

Before You Start

  • Please read the entire product guide before proceeding.
  • Ensure all parts are present.
  • If you are missing any of the components, call our customer support at (909) 947-0015.
  • Do not work on your vehicle while the engine is hot.
  • Make sure the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in Park or the Parking Brake is set.
  • Note: This intake kit may not fit with the following Aftermarket Parts installed: Body Lift or Lowering Kit, Custom Hood, Intercooler or Turbo upgrades

Required Tools

  • 8mm, 10mm, & 13mm Wrench & Socket
  • T-20 Security Torx Wrench (Supplied w/ Kit)
  • 7/16” Wrench and Socket
  • 5/16” Nut Driver or Flat Blade Screwdriver
  • Phillips Screwdriver, Pliers or Channel locks
  • Socket Extension

STEP 1

With the ignition switched off and the parking brake set, disconnect the negative battery cables on both batteries.

IMPORTANT: Failure to disconnect the battery for a minimum of 2 hours may cause the Check Engine Light to illuminate upon completion of the installation or subsequent operation. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!

STEP 2

Disconnect the electrical connection for the MAF sensor.

For 2013-2016 Models, disconnect the electrical connection for the humidity sensor.

STEP 3

Loosen the hose clamp at the turbo mouthpiece.


STEP 4

For 2015-2016 Models Only. Remove the 4 plastic push pins on the far left side of the front liner to gain access to the front crossbar. To remove the push pins use a flat blade screwdriver to pop out the top head and pull out.


STEP 5

For 2015-2016 Models Only. Remove the rubber hood seal on the passenger side by pulling forward towards the front of the hood and pulling up.


STEP 6

For 2015-2016 Models Only. Remove both the upper and lower crossbars by removing the 5 mounting bolts, a 10mm & 13mm socket will be needed. The lower crossbar bolt can be accessed by pulling up on the front plastic liner.


STEP 7

Loosen the hose clamp connecting the intake tube to the airbox lid. Then remove the intake tube from the truck.


STEP 8

Remove the airbox lid and air filter by removing the two screws by the fender. Then carefully pull the lower portion of the airbox up out of the two rubber grommets.


STEP 9

Remove the four bolts mounting the airbox tray. Remove the mounting tray from the truck. Save all hardware.


STEP 10

Between the battery and the fender; remove the nut mounting the coolant reservoir.


STEP 11

Unsnap the plastic clip holding the coolant reservoir to the AC line using a flat blade screwdriver. Then remove the other screw mounting coolant reservoir.


STEP 12

Carefully remove the MAF sensor from the stock airbox lid and make sure the stock O-ring seal is in good condition.

Install the MAF Adapter (O), MAF Gasket (N), and Phillips Screws (X) on to the MAF Sensor as shown.

Install the MAF Sensor to the Sensor Tube (K) in the orientation shown. Tighten the two Phillips Screws (X).


STEP 13

For 2011-2012 Models Only. Install the Block Off Plate (R) and MAF Gasket (P) to the Sensor Tube (K) with the M4 Screws (S) as shown. Tighten the M4 Screws.


STEP 14

For 2013 -2016 Models Only. Carefully remove the humidity sensor from the stock airbox lid and make sure the stock gasket is in good condition.

Install the MAF Mount (Q) and MAF Gasket (P) to the Humidity Sensor as shown.

Install the Humidity Sensor with MAF Mount (Q) and MAF Gasket (P) to the Sensor Tube (K) in the orientation shown using the M4 Screws (S). Tighten the two M4 Screws.


STEP 15

Move the coolant reservoir out of the way. Install the Airbox (A) flush onto the bottom of the vehicle's mounting points.


STEP 16

Reinstall the coolant reservoir and mounting hardware that was removed in Step #10 & 11.


STEP 17

Once the Airbox (A) is installed, use the four factory bolts to mount it down. Also for those concerned about minimal engine heat; install the provided Box Plug*(B) on the bottom of the box. If necessary, use the M6 Screw (W) and Washer (V) if the factory bolts are too short.


STEP 18

Install the Tube Seal (C) onto the Airbox (A).


STEP 19

Place the two #80 Hose clamps (M) over the Hump Coupler (L) then over Intake Tube #1 (D). Leave the clamps loose for now.


STEP 20

Carefully place the Air Filter (E) into the Airbox (A) then slide the air filter onto Intake Tube #1 (D) and rotate the filter so that it points towards the bottom opening of the box. When positioned tighten the #88 Hose Clamp (F). Make sure the filter is not rubbing against the box or touching anything.


STEP 21

Place the Straight Coupler (T) and both #72 Hose Clamps (U) onto the turbo inlet mouthpiece. Tighten the clamp on the turbo mouthpiece only.


STEP 22

Route the MAF Sensor wiring harness as shown then install the Sensor Tube (K) into the Hump Coupler (L) and Straight Coupler (T) at the turbo inlet.


STEP 23

Make any adjustments to the Sensor Tube (K), and Tube #1 (D) if necessary. Reposition the Filter (E), if necessary, as stated in Step 20, making sure the filter is not rubbing against the Airbox (A), Box Plug (B), or touching anything and tighten the filter Hose Clamp (F). When satisfied with the positioning of the components, tighten all hose clamps. Do not over tighten.


STEP 24

Reconnect the MAF sensor wiring harness. Reconnect the Humidity sensor wiring harness if applicable.


🛑 Stop! Read This Before Continuing The Install

If your kit came with our new snap-in lid design, please proceed to STEP 27 to install your snap-in lid. If your lid is the traditional screw in lid, please proceed to the next step.


STEP 25

Remove the paper covering from the Clear Lid (G) and install the Lid Seal (H).


STEP 26

Install the Clear Lid (G) using the supplied #10-24 Screws (J) and Washers (I). Do not overtighten.

Go To Step 29

STEP 27

For Snap-In Lids Only


Remove the protective covering from the Clear Lid.

STEP 28

For Snap-In Lids Only


Stretch silicone lid seal around the perimeter of the clear lid. It should be a snug fit

The notch on the lid and the tab of the lid seal should mate in the same corner.

STEP 29

Reconnect both batteries and inspect your installation. Make sure the kit is properly positioned and all fasteners and hose clamps are secured. For 2015-2016 Models Only: Reinstall and bolt down both the upper & lower crossbars and side hood seal and re-insert the push pins on the front plastic liner.

Keep all stock parts in case you would ever need to reinstall the stock intake assembly. Affix the ID/CARB label near the intake kit. If you are an installer, give the owner the QR code for the Installation Instructions so that he/she is aware of the Maintenance procedures and other important information given at the beginning of the Instructions. The installation is now complete.
