Required Tools

  • 8mm
  • 18mm
  • Cordless and/or Mechanical Ratchet
  • Cutting Tool
  • Flat head screwdriver

Important: DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP

Please ensure that your vehicle is in Park and has the parking brake set. We recommend placing a wheel chock in front of one of the tires.

Step 1: Uninstall OEM Valance

Take an 8mm socket and a ratchet to unbolt the small bolts holding the valance to the bumper. There will be a total of 10 bolts holding the valance.

Tech note: The three bolts in the middle of the valance are the only ones that can be removed from the bottom. The rest will have to be removed from above.

Step 2: Remove Anti-Climbing Brackets

Remove the stock anti-climbing brackets from the vehicle. You will need an 18mm socket.

Step 3: Swapping OEM Slip-Nuts from OEM to S&B Valance

Remove the 10 slip nuts from the OEM valance and swap them to the S&B low-profile valance. You may need a flat head screwdriver to remove the slip nuts and then re-install them.

Tech note: The three middle slots will not need a slip nut.

Additionally, to securely mount the slip nuts to the S&B valance you will need to push down on the circular clip within the bolt hole on the slip nut as seen in this image.

Step 4: Install S&B Valance

Index the prongs in order to line up the valance to the mounting holes. We recommend lining up the middle prong first, then threading in the middle three bolts. Once done, go ahead and do the same to each side.

Once done, go ahead and tighten the 10 valance bolts.

Step 5: Verify Install

Once done, go ahead and verify that your valance bolts are all tightened down. Your install in now complete.
